We were taken with the haunting minimalist folk limezoda (the solo moniker one third of PVA Ella Harris) put forward with her late 2020 Two Fishermen EP. Taking an entirely different approach to her stunning previous List Pick 'Anchor Man', new offering 'Seven' exists in an icy electronic realm. Toying with watery 808 beats reminiscent of The Knife's 2013 masterpiece Shaking the Habitual, dystopian-sounding synthesizers rise and fall in a dramatic and foreboding fashion as waining sound effects linger in the shadows between the track's more melodic parts. With limezoda's versatility proving to be boundary-less, we'll be keeping a close eye on this exciting and prolific artist. -Holly Mullineaux
